Gloating Is Not Good

I am pleased with yesterday's election results across the country. My concern today is that Democrats not gloat, it isn't nice, and it isn't pretty. Take a minute and think about how you feel when this image passes in front of you.

I feel no desire to gloat, I'm just thankful, and I'm grateful. I was able to see that our country is not as wretched as we've been told it was over this last year.

Following the news today is incredibly difficult. It's very hard for any political message, other than Donald Trump, to break through. He sucks all the oxygen out of the room. He's a distraction on every level.

I've been very discouraged and troubled, to the point my blood pressure is elevated. Yesterday gave me hope. We must press on for the good of our country.

  1. Yesterday was a good sign but we still have a long way to go before we can breathe easy. I agree, it's not time to gloat but it did lift the spirits of a lot of us Democrats.

  2. Unity is the key issue. The anti-Hillary liberals elected Donald by voting 3rd party in key states. 2018 will be a true test of how well liberals can do to stop Republican fascists

  3. So much good came out of the Women's March the day after the inauguration. Many Democratic women won who were recruited and backed by groups like Indivisible. We are getting new blood into politics! Yes, there is hope.
Now we have to work nationally on voter suppression and gerrymandering. We have good people doing just that too.

  4. The key is getting people out to vote and emphasizing the importance of local elections too. The minorities already feel disenfranchised and getting them out to vote is difficult.

  5. I have said elsewhere that the current administration has been a boon to the healthcare industry -- so many report elevated blood pressure and digestive issue that started just about one year ago.
