This is Us

I was suppose to make pictures of Bob and Susan making candy. That didn't happen so how about mashed potatoes? She's a patient soul.

Adult children still have moments when they act like children. It seems these two, though thousands of miles apart, bought very similar silver frames for their glasses. This is son Rodger, and daughter Susan.

Could it be I'm rolling my eyes at their behavior. I almost never allow pictures of myself but Rodger never gives up trying. He finally succeeded in wearing me down.

Bob has Raynaud's Syndrome so cold hands are a real problem for him. I bought this little personal space heater to keep on the kitchen cabinet for him to use after he's been digging in the freezer or refrigerator. This morning he carted it off to his room. Oh well, what can I say? Whatever floats his boat.

  7. Great photos of an obviously fun time. I completely forgot about taking pictures when my family was together. I guess I was enjoying the moment, but now I regret not having those reminders.

  9. Love the photos. What a lovely family. The frames are a hoot. I once heard of a study that found that twins who were separated at birth made more similar choices - toothpaste, clothing, entertainment - than twins who were raised together. It's believed that twins raised together make dissimilar choices in order to distinguish themselves. Is that roast beef (what cut?) on your plate. Looks good. Always thinking about food. That's me. I like it on the rare side.

  11. These really are fine photos. Your kids are handsome, and yes: Susan does look like you. That Raynaud's syndrome is so strange. Mom experienced it, too, although it took us a while to figure out what it was. The little heater was a great idea -- I wish I'd thought of it.
