Listen Up Democrats

Do you enjoy a good schlacking?

Ever wonder why we have a Democrat in the White House and a Republican Congress?

When Democrats think about government they think federal level and national elections. They tend to vote every four years and consider their job done. Got a Democrat in the White House what more do you want?

When Republicans think about government they think of state level and mid-term elections. Republicans know the importance of voting every two years. Mid-term elections are important in the House and Senate.

So far Republicans have been unable to get an extreme conservative elected to the White House (we'll see what they do this time). As a whole the country is not that conservative.

They can however fill the House and Senate with extreme conservatives because they are elected from districts at the state level.

If you want to stop the gridlock we have in Congress tell all the Democrats you know, starting now, the importance of voting every two years.

President Clinton received a schlacking in 1994, and President Obama in 2010. Prepare for the same in 2018 if Hillary Clinton is in the White House and Democrats fail to change their ways.

  1. Yes, start at the state level and start tossing some of those long term freeloaders out. (No matter what flavor they are)

    1. I can think of a few I'd like to pluck out of the nests they've feathered while in Congress.

  2. Here in Michigan the Republicans in charge are trying to take the option off the ballots to check one box to vote for all the Democrats or all the Republicans down ticket from the president. Anything to make it harder and harder to vote!

The art of compromise has been totally lost in Washington over the past 10 years and that's a major problem as well as having a split government like you've blogged about.

    1. I do miss the art of compromise. Rush Limbaugh and Fox News took that away. Do these right wingers not believe in compromise in their marriages either? Oh boy, what a world.

  4. That is a soap box I get on regularly also. We need a turn out for EVERY election.
