It's going to be a hell of a fight against the Republican candidate. If that happens to be Cruz I doubt Bernie is up to the challenge.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11586429675286969340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185056688439833438.post-32351655752990980062016-02-04T13:02:56.064-08:002016-02-04T13:02:56.064-08:00I like your last reply, Linda. In his years in Congress he hasn't been able to achieve much, besides always being the scold.
His socialism is more attune to the democratic socialism of the Scandinavian countries, where all who work make a living wage. Of course taxes are higher, prices are high, and the standard of living is lower if you just count the size of houses and how much stuff you can acquire. Very un-American. :-)
As to religion, "To God Be the Glory" was shouted by Cruz at his victory speech. Evangelicals are flocking to Trump and Cruz for some strange reason, since they seem to be the most un-Christ-like. The Republicans haven't really had a go at Bernie yet, taking all their shots at Hillary, but if he is the nominee, they will. As a non-practicing Jew, Bernie will be attacked and the evangelicals will have a heyday. It remains to be seen how that will go over with the general population.
We haven't seen nothin' yet. Hillary will work within the system. Bernie will attack the system. I think Democrats would do well to look at the voters following Bernie. They're young with new ideas. They see the failures of the old. If Democrats ignore them they will be on the same path Republicans are on.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11586429675286969340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185056688439833438.post-78641185280681063372016-02-04T09:47:53.537-08:002016-02-04T09:47:53.537-08:00We actually have two third party candidates in the...We actually have two third party candidates in the race this time. Bernie Sanders is not a Democrat, Donald Trump is not a Republican. I can smile at some of Bernie's ideas. I have a hard time smiling about Trump. Extremes on the left & right. You are so right, both parties would benefit from reading history.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11586429675286969340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185056688439833438.post-64244597167328851002016-02-04T09:42:38.268-08:002016-02-04T09:42:38.268-08:00I thought about adding Obama and the Muslim thing ...I thought about adding Obama and the Muslim thing but since so many people still believe that absurdity I decided not to 'poke the bear' by mentioning it.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11586429675286969340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185056688439833438.post-46287109894133514102016-02-04T07:46:25.331-08:002016-02-04T07:46:25.331-08:00I am a Hillary supporter but I won't move to C...I am a Hillary supporter but I won't move to Canada if Bernie makes it all the way. The first year they practiced communal living with everyone working a collective farm and all getting an equal share of everything. They almost starved to death! The next year each family got a portion of land to farm and they were told, basically, to get to work. Production shot up and their was more than enough produced to eat to get them through the Winter months. Maybe both Democrats and Republicans should study our past before they lead us into repeating it.At Rivercrest Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12068816102263605128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6185056688439833438.post-77175255151240535042016-02-04T04:24:29.399-08:002016-02-04T04:24:29.399-08:00The two question marks were supposed to be a smile...The two question marks were supposed to be a smiley face. Oh, by the way, you mentioned JFK as a Catholic and Romney as a Mormon, so you should have mentioned Obama as a Muslim! 😂Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09782394068144501251noreply@blogger.com
